Personal Web Traffic Map
In May 2020, I was invited to produce a personal map about the pandemic for a Desestrutura, a web publication.
Thinking about these first few months spent in isolation, one of the geographies that was most present to me was that of the internet, so I designed a map showing the websites I had visited during the period.
I extracted my browser history, then obtained the IP address for websites using Traceroute. I extracted the coordinates for each website using IP Info, with the help of the great Traceroute Mapper. After some data processing with Node and Turf.js, I designed the map using QGIS.
